KUALA LUMPUR 30 Jun: Seorang anggota tentera berpangkat Staf Sarjan dihadapkan ke Mahkamah Sesyen di sini pada Rabu, atas pertuduhan merogol dan mencabul anak kandungnya yang berusia 15 tahun.

Tertuduh yang berusia 38 tahun mengaku tidak bersalah dan meminta dirinya dibicarakan atas pertuduhan tersebut yang dibacakan di hadapan Hakim Emilia Kaswati Mohamad Khalid.

Dia yang bertubuh sederhana dan berkulit sawo matang itu didakwa merogol mangsa di dalam bilik sebuah rumah di Desa Tun Hussein Onn, di sini pada pukul 3 pagi, 21 Jun lalu.

Bagi kesalahan itu, tertuduh didakwa mengikut Seksyen 376(3) Kanun Keseksaan dan jika sabit kesalahan, boleh dihukum penjara maksimum 30 tahun dan sebatan tidak kurang 10 kali.

Mangsa yang masih belajar merupakan anak kedua dari empat beradik, hasil perkahwinannya dengan seorang anggota tentera.

Tertuduh ditangkap pada 22 Jun lalu selepas mangsa membuat laporan polis.

Selain itu, tertuduh juga menghadap dua tuduhan mencabul mangsa yang didakwa dilakukannya pada hari yang sama dan pada sekitar pertengahan tahun 2010, di rumah yang sama.

Untuk kesalahan mencabul, pendakwaan dikendalikan mengikut Seksyen 354 kanun sama yang memperuntukkan hukuman penjara maksimum 10 tahun atau denda atau sebat, jika sabit kesalahan.

Timbalan Pendakwa Raya S. Malini Anne tidak menawarkan jaminan terhadap tertuduh kerana khuatir mangsa akan diganggu oleh tertuduh.

Bagaimanapun, tertuduh yang tidak diwakili peguam merayu agar mahkamah membenarkan dirinya dijamin, dan turut memaklumkan bahawa isterinya hadir di mahkamah.

Semasa disoal oleh Emilia Kaswati, isteri tertuduh yang memakai tudung merah jambu dan berjubah hitam memberitahu, dia sanggup menggalas tanggungjawab sebagai seorang penjamin.

“Sebagai seorang isteri, saya tahu suami saya memang bermasalah,” katanya dan menambah, dia akan memastikan anaknya tidak diganggu.
